Hey! My name is Tokes Ojo-Ade (Fawehinmi), former tomboy turned corporate professional by day, fashion blogger and style consultant by night! A wanna-be DJ and lover of basketball, my most important jobs=wife to hubby (Wole) and mom of 2 hilarious little girls (Dara + Demi) who make sure there's never a dull moment! A New York to Maryland transplant, I'm loving life in the DC-MD-VA area now:-) I know, I know! No place/energy like up in the NYC but the DMV is pretty cool too!
About the Blog
This blog was borne out of my love for fashion. To give you a sense of how far back this love goes and how deep, one of my best friends posted a mini-story on my Facebook wall...She told the story of when we were mini-girl scouts (brownies) at 8 years old and went on a hike. Everyone else wore comfortable shoes. I showed up in boots:-) I cried all the way home lol I don't know what I was thinking but I looked cute! She pointed out that even back then, it was obvious I loved fashion!
Funny because I went through a tomboy phase! Yeah! Growing up with brothers plus my next door neighbor who was my boy bestie growing up, meant playing football, climbing trees, getting scrapes lol Fun times!
In a world where “life happens” and we don’t have control over much, YOU have control over what's in your wardrobe, how you look and how confident you feel when you step out of the house.
As your girl and very own personal stylist, I will serve up style inspiration to help working women reinvent their workwear with effortless looks you can try easily! My passion is to empower the modern, everyday women who are working, juggling responsibilities, raising families and doing their thing.
