What to Wear-Valentine's Date Night

Hello beauties.  Today’s post features some ideas for a Valentine’s date night.  Of course, these are not limited to Valentine’s alone.  You can pretty much rock any of these on any date night out!

Look 1: Casual versus Dressed Up

Casual-Chic Option:

  • Features a pair of white distressed jeans with a blush wrap sweater or lace top.
  • I’ve heard people tell me they are afraid to try white jeans because they think it’s only for really slim people.  NOT TRUE.  Myth-busting here and now! Don’t knock it until you try it so please, get a pair and give it a go!
  • To keep the neutral look going, you can pair with an open sweater, nude pumps, and a clutch.

Dressed Up:

  • The second look features a nude and silver midi dress.
  • You can pair with grey or nude heels and a silver envelope clutch.
  • You can add an extra touch in a number of ways.  For example, for a  cinched waist, belt the dress.  I show a grey wrap belt option.
  • This will help define you waist.  Great for all shapes and sizes, my dear!
  • The grey duster coat also adds an easy breezy touch.  Just because it doesn’t come with a belt doesn’t mean you can’t belt it:-)

Look 2: Red accessories versus Neutral

Red accessories:

  • Red accessories like the clutch, shoes and belt pictured above, give a nice pop of color and contrast against the nude dress and belted coat.
  • Some red lipstick completes the look and makes a bold statement.

Neutral accessories:

  • If the pop of color is a bit too much for you, try nude accessories.
  • For example, you can opt for grey or nude heels and a grey belt.
  • A nice grey coat pairs nicely.  You can also belt the grey coat to give it a sophisticated look.

See below for deets on the featured items.  Would love to hear from you! Which of the looks is your favorite? Casual vs. Dressed up? Red vs. Neutral?
