#MotivationMonday Quote = Emma Watson

Emma Watson Fashion Motivational Quote

Hello beauties.  For those of you in the U.S., hope you had a lovely thanksgiving weekend! I tried to get some rest (key word=”tried” 🙂 Really enjoyed spending time with my family and I finally got to see “Spectre,” the not-so-new James Bond flick (Side note: I’m a HUGE James Bond fan).

Sales-wise, I didn’t buy too much…Most of the items I snagged on Black Friday were for my hubby and dad.  Found a cute pair of pants @ Express, which I’ll feature in an upcoming post.  Another side note=if you haven’t tried on Express’s “Editor pants,” you are missing out! Their Editor style pants look great on almost any body type.  Yesssss.  Check them out if you can.  But I digress.

Anyway, love today’s dose of #MotivationMonday inspiration.  It’s a quote by actress Emma Watson and love the message.  This young lady is only 25 years old but sounds wiser than her age.  The full quote is actually: “There’s nothing interesting about looking perfect – you lose the point.  You want what you’re wearing to say something about you, about who you are.” AMEN Emma.  Amen.

How many times have you spent a lot of time (hours, minutes…however you define “a lot of time”:-), trying to make sure you look just right…Hair in place, shoe game on point, make up=flawless, slayer outfit on…You get the picture…Because you want to impress or make an impression etc.  And isn’t it ironic that the days when you may not think you look your absolute best, is the day when you get flooded with compliments/attention and you’re like “???”

Well, next time we’re in front of the mirror, trying to perfect that look before we head out the door, we could all use a reminder: “Don’t strive for perfection, strive for personality instead.”

Here’s to a great day and week ahead! Thanks for dropping by! Don’t be a stranger,  xoxo. p.s. if you want to snag some Cyber Monday deals, check out this post from last night.

Be sure to check out tomorrow’s post featuring a great workwear/church outfit for those nippy days.
