Hey, what’s up, what’s up, what’s up?! Hope you are doing great. Faux leather leggings are one of my favorite pieces because they instantly elevate any look. Here’s how to style faux leather leggings.
What’s great about them is they straddle that bridge between comfy and edgy. And that makes for versatile styling options. For those of us in the U.S., Thanksgiving’s coming up and faux leather leggings are fab because you can pair with a tunic or mini dress or sweater and still eat as much as you’d like. And it’s also great for the holidays too. An oversized sweater paired with faux leather leggings=done.
How to Style Faux Leather Leggings
Dress them up or down with layers
- Pair with a blazer if you’re looking to stay formal up top.
- You can also layer with a sweater or sleeveless duster.
Pair with boots to dress them up, sneakers or flats to dress them down
Pair with feminine tops to balance the leather edge
They look great with t-shirts too
Pair with a plaid or chambray shirt
Oh, and they look great with sweatshirts, sweat dresses or tunics

Don’t Forget to Vote
If you’re in the U.S. and haven’t voted yet, friendly reminder to make a plan! Check out vote.org for information about your state. I dropped off my ballot last weekend and got a confirmation email on Tuesday. We’ve been teaching our girls about the importance of voting. As little black girls, it’s important for them to understand how many people suffered, sacrificed and died for the greater good so we could vote.
#EndSARS
You may have seen a lot in the news lately about #SARS. As a Nigerian-born woman, it’s been hard to see the images and footage. SARS= Special Anti-Roberry Squad and is a special police team started with the goal of combating crime. It has instead turned into a police brutality nightmare with the police becoming oppressors of the very people they were put in place to protect. If you’d like to learn more, please check out these options here and here.
