Hello beauties. Weekend going okay?? I’m hoping to get in some rest or rather, as much rest as the girls allow lol We shall see! Anyhoo, I am sooooo here for a lot of the fall style trends out there: chokers; block heels; plaid; lace; ruffles; oh my! I heart them all lol! And anyone can wear them! YES, anyone! Meaning YOU! So read on for some fun fall style trends and make sure you watch the video!
Stripes:
- They’re not going away anytime soon and there are many ways to style for fall.
- If you have a short sleeve stripes outfit you were rocking over the summer, you can definitely transition it for fall by layering!
- Just add a sweater or jacket.
Booties:
- Before it gets super cool, try open toe booties.
- Lace-up versions are popular and there are lots of budget-friendly styles to choose from!
- Also try fall brights like the blue booties I’m wearing with the striped dress.
Pussybow aka Tie Neck Blouses:
- Feminine pieces like tie neck blouses are still in.
- They are versatile because you can pair with a pencil skirt for work.
- On the weekend, pair with jeans or a pair of leather pants and over the knee boots.
Lace, Ruffles & Velvet:
- I’m all about girly touches so I am so here for the lace trend! And ruffles! And even velvet!
- There are so many ways to wear lace:
- Try a lace top with ruffles
- Pair with a pencil or flared skirt
- Dress it down with you guessed it, jeans!
- Ruffles ruffles ruffles:
- Ruffles are on everything from skirts to dresses to tops so you can pick your poison:) lol
- You can go the “twofer” route by combining trends! So think lace + ruffles or tie neck blouse + ruffles
- Velvet:
- Velvet is so 90’s, right??
- There are so many ways to ride the velvet wave.
- While I’m not getting a velvet dress anytime soon, I may get a velvet top.
- I got a pair of cute grey velvet boots (as seen in the video) from Dorothyperkins.com so if you want to ease into velvet, shoes are an option!
- You’re not limited to boots either, you can try flats, oxfords or pumps
Plaid & Block Heels (Check out Post Here)
- Plaid/check is always in for fall
- Again, another trend you have lots of options to try!
- If a dress is a bit much for you:
- Start with a top
- Or get a dress but layer (see the video) to tone down the effects of the print if you’re plaid-shy!
- Block heels continue to be popular so try boots or pumps.
- Lots and lots of options to choose from out there that’ll take you from desk to dinner or work to play.
Chokers:
- Chokers are so hot right now. Another 90’s throwback!
- There are LOTS, I repeat, LOTS of styles to choose from so you have no excuse for not trying this trend.
- Also! Here’s a hack if you don’t want to spend a dime on one:
- Simply take a short scarf and tie it to the back and voila, you’ve got a choker! Watch this video here to see how to pull this off.
