Fall-Ready Style: Red + Animal Print • Tokes' Take on Style

Fall-Ready Style: Red + Animal Print

Red Peplum dress + animal prints

Hello beauties.  September is here and pretty soon, so will cooler mornings + evenings! Love it!

As we transition from summer to fall, a quick way to fall in stylishly, is simply by adding layers to your summer faves.  Case in point, for this post, I wore one of my favorite sleeveless dresses, which works for the summer and beyond.  For the cooler fall days ahead, or even a cold office, you can add a button down sweater or a blazer.  Given the peplum style, a shorter layer would be better so it lays over the peplum and you still show off the pretty peplum.

The options are endless with a red dress.  Meaning, you have a variety of sweater colors to pair the dress with.  Of course, you can’t go wrong with a black sweater.  Belt the sweater over the dress for a fitted look.

I went with a red-animal print combo for this post.  Did I mention a red sexy is an automatic mood/confidence booster:) Yes! A red dress will do the trick overtime, I promise! Plus pairing with animal prints gives an extra oomph/adds a va va room effect (these are all “technical terms,” of course:)

You can opt for a pair of animal print flats (my subway/metro commuters know a good pair of flats=a must-have!) And even for the drivers, you can wear flats for easier pedal action while driving and then do the ole switch-a-roo when you get to work.  I show the outfit paired with flats and then with heels.

When it gets nippy out, for an edgy look, simply put on a leather jacket for an instantly elevated outfit.  Elevation comes with going beyond the usual zone of say, a black leather jacket.  I chose a bronze one for this post, to complement the red and animal print.  There are so many beautiful fall hues out there such as Olive green.  So no excuses, be adventurous!

Would love to hear from you.  Are you a fan or foe of non-black leather jackets?

Thanks for dropping by! Don’t be a stranger, xoxo.  Outfit details below.
