Wrapped in Color: DVF Wrap Dress

Hello beauties.  One day down, 4 more to go:-) Anyway, on to business.  Today’s post features one of my favorite dresses = It’s a DVF wrap dress (Style: “Jeanne.”) Will repeat it for the thousandth and one time: Diane von Furstenberg aka DVF, invented the wrap dress:-) She sure did! So we owe her a lot of gratitude:)

In addition to designing lovely, figure-flattering dresses, DVF is a champion of women.  I have a keepsake from an event she spoke at, which I attended a few years back.  It’s a comic book called “Be the Wonder Woman you can be.”

In the introduction, Diane says “The truth is that there is a little bit of Wonder Woman inside each of us…” Very true! I channeled my inner Wonder Woman in one of the shots below lol with that hands on hips power pose.

Seriously, whether or not it’s a DVF wrap dress, you need a wrap dress in your life.  YES! Need:-)  Wrap dresses flatter any shape, size or figure. Not to mention, a wrap dress makes for a sexy, feminine workwear option and works for church as well. Yes ah-gain! ANYONE can rock a wrap dress.

For today’s shoot, I had a fun Benetton moment (remember those United Colors of Benetton ads from back in the day??), I chose a pair of colorful tights and purple pumps.  You can tone it down by opting for a neutral pair of tights and a pair of nude or black pumps.  Tall or ankle boots would work too.
