Hello beauties. You know how from time to time, you’ll read that (fill in the blank) is the “new black.” Think: grey, navy blue etc. but black is always in! Black is pretty much always the new black:-) Timeless. Chic. Beautiful. Black. Plain and simple!
Today’s post features one of my favorite pair of black pants=a pair of black Culottes. It’s actually a remix as you can see from this summer post. And that’s one of the great things about culottes. You can pair them with short sleeves for warmer days and then in colder weather, switch out the short sleeves with long sleeve tops, sweaters, blazers and trade in sandals for ankle, tall boots or pumps.
I chose a black long sleeve peplum top with my thick black “Santa Claus belt.” (Don’t lie, that belt looks like Santa’s:-) but that’s quite alright! I still love it lol. Completed the look with patterned tights and black ankle boots. I chose ankle boots because I wanted to show off the pretty tights. Tall boots are another option you can try.
This is a simple outfit that’s perfect for those desk to dinner moments. It’s also a nice option for church or a night out (date night, theater, etc.). If you ever look in your closet and you’re at a loss as to what to wear to work, even you don’t have culottes, I am 100% sure you have a pair of black pants or a skirt:) “All black everything” is an easy go-to that’s always timeless and chic.
Other alternatives to pair with culottes:
- Tucked in long sleeve shirt (think feminine blouse like a tie-neck/pussy bow blouse)
- Tucked in striped top
- A plain colored turtleneck
- Cropped sweater
- Burgundy or white tee shirt tucked in with a leather, suede or velvet blazer
